The stories we tell

Exploring the Landscape of Soul Through Story
We are all storytellers. For generations we have shared fairy tales, myths, and even cave paintings to explore our collective experience. Through these stories, symbols, and archetypes we have deepened our understanding of what it means to be human. These stories live in us, shaping how we understand ourselves and how we move through the world.

Your own life story is more powerful than you may know. Beneath your conscious identity are deeper narratives, inherited, imagined, or unconsciously lived, about who you are and what your life is meant to be. In our work, we will begin to make sense of your individual myth and examine the inner story as an invitation for insight, integration, and individuation.

It’s often at threshold moments that people find their way to this work. Times when the old story no longer fits, and something deeper begins to stir beneath the surface of life. You may arrive at a crossroads, where a life transition calls for inward listening. Or find yourself in a valley, where energy wanes and shadow material begins to surface. Or in a desert, where dryness has kept you from life-giving waters, and meaning feels out of reach.

Although challenging, together we will navigate these passages by turning inward to the collective unconscious by attending to dreams, fantasies, images, and the quiet signals of the body. This process dismantles the unconscious myths that no longer serve us, revealing both the self-deceptive defenses we employ and the psyche’s impulse toward a more integrated way of being.

If you find yourself at a threshold, unsettled by the old story, but unsure of the new one, I invite you to reach out. Our first step is simply to speak what’s true for you now. From there, we begin to explore what’s emerging beneath the surface, and how it might reshape the path ahead.

The Journey
by Mary Oliver

But little by little, / as you left their voices behind, / the stars began to burn / through the sheets of clouds, / and there was a new voice / which you slowly / recognized as your own, / that kept you company / as you strode deeper and deeper...
